How are my affiliate referrals tracked?

Visitors are tracked using cookies placed when a website visitor visits the HostDash website through your affiliate link. Whenever a customer makes a purchase, that referral would then be associated with your affiliate account.

Cookies are valid for 60 days meaning if you refer a customer to our website, but they do not initially make a purchase, you would automatically receive the credit should they return to our website and make a purchase within 60 days of clicking your link.

Example 1:

A visitor clicks on your affiliate link from your website and completes a purchase. You will see that pending referral in your affiliate account.

Example 2:

A visitor clicks on your affiliate link from your website but does not make a purchase. Within the next 60 days, they return to the HostDash website and make a purchase. You will see that pending referral in your affiliate account.

Example 3:
A visitor clicks on your affiliate link from your website but does not make a purchase. After the 60 day cookie period, they return to the HostDash website and make a purchase. You will NOT see that pending referral in your affiliate account.

Example 4:

A visitor clicks your affiliate tracking link from your website. Before making a purchase, they delete their browser cookies. You will NOT see that pending referral in your affiliate account as the cookie to associate that customer with your affiliate account has been deleted.
