How to reset your email account password

In this article, we are going to show you how you can reset and change the password for your email account.

Step 1: Log into cPanel

The first step to changing the password for an email account is to log into cPanel:

1) Log into the HostDash client area (https://my.hostdash.com)

2) From the Dashboard, locate the hosting account containing your email accounts and click on the Manage button, followed by the Log in to cPanel link.

The above will automatically log you in to your cPanel account for that domain.

Note: Some browsers may require you to allow popups before you can be logged in.

Step 2: Reset An Email Account Password

Now that you are logged in to cPanel, you will be able to reset your email account passwords. To get started:

1) Click on the Email Accounts icon located under the Email category (You can also use the search function in the top right corner for 'Email Accounts')

2) You should now see a table of all of your email accounts. Next to the account you'd like to reset the password for, click Manage

3) In the New Password box, enter your desired password (or click on Generate to automatically generate a strong password)

4) Scroll down and click on the blue Update Email Settings button

And that is it! Your email account password has now been reset.
