cPanel Error: Your IP address has changed

A common error among cPanel users is being logged out of cPanel with the error message: Your IP address has changed. In this article we are going to explain why this might occur and how to resolve it.

The Problem

While you are logged into cPanel, if you try to navigate to another page you may be logged out of the control panel and see the error: Your IP address has changed. Please log in again.

The Cause

The most common causes for this problem are:

  • You (or someone else) has tried to log into the same cPanel account from another network / IP.
  • You are on a dynamic IP address from your ISP and they have assigned you a new IP address while you were logged into the cPanel control panel.

The Resolution

The only resolution to this error is to simply log back into your cPanel account. Once logged in, you should be able to navigate through your cPanel account normally again.
